Great museum - one of the best we went to in whole of Peru. Taxi to here from Miraflores should be around S.15 to S.20. Ask the gift shop to call you an EasyTaxi back to your hotel for you.

The museum showcases over 4,000 years of Peruvian history. The collection is both vast and varied, with cases and cases of ceramic figurines partaking in huge range of ritual and domestic activities.

Definitely worth checking out the grounds of this beautiful museum and its well curated museum. Try to visit prior to any trips to Machu Picchu, Cuzco (and its nearby ruins).

After visiting the museum, don’t leave yet, there is out of the main building a second part with erotic statues from the Inca’s, definitely a part you don’t want to miss!

One of the few museums open on Mondays. And they close at 10pm too! The items here tend to be rather small though. The museum restaurant is great too.
