Plan your time well. The bus leaves every 30min and you will spend at E.N. at least 2 hrs. One common miss understanding - Hitter's private house in situated in the valley, it's not the E.N.

There's no connection, so check in when/where you can. The views are stunning, and the surrounding countryside is beyond beautiful. Be sure to enjoy the bus ride up, and the brass lift experience.

The bus ride to the top is both unnerving and spectacular - just adds to the drama. Very weird going up in the lift then looking round and thinking about the historical significance of here.

Bayern's nr 1 tourist spot during summer. To avoid crowds take one of the first busses at 8:30. You'll have the place to yourself. Read ahead on the historic significance so you see details better.

Amazing views. Road from Muenchen takes you in and out of Austria to get to the Eagle's Nest. Highways in Austria - TOLL STICKER REQUIRED. FINE IS EUR120 (US$142). Sticker is EUR10 at gas station.
