The Fort Saint Jean was built in the 600s and has protected the city for centuries! Its two towers were added later, in the 1400s and in the 1600s; it’s now a majestic symbol of Marseille!

it was built 1660 by louis xIv at the entrance to the old port. it is linked by two thin bridges to the historical destrict le panier and to the musee des civilisations de I'europe
