Bult in 16th century, the Golden Temple, formally known as the 'Harmandir Sahib' or 'Darbar Sahib' is a Gurdwara in Amritsar, Punjab, India and it houses the holy text of Sikhism 'Guru Granth Sahib'. The temple is made out of real gold, and over a lakh people are said to visit the holy shrine daily.
