Dover Castle was first founded in William the Conqueror in the 11th century after the Norman Conquest, and later rebuilt by King Henry II a hundred years later. This hall inside the castle tries to recreate the throne room from Henry II's time in the 12th century based on contemporary records and style. The king's throne, in the middle, is flanked by the queen's throne on the left and the elder prince's seat on the right.
